Thank you to all the year 6 parents for their generous donation of 20 fabulous novels and 4 thesauruses (or thesauri) which we will use in our English lessons.  
This legacy means that future children will be able to enjoy their own copy of the novel to inspire our creative writing and grammar lessons rather than following along on screen.  Maybe I am of a certain generation but a screen can not replace the feel, smell and pleasure of an actual book!

The children created their own inspiring and beautiful bookplates for each book to encourage the next generation of readers.

Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to teach your children, thank you for your enduring support and thank you for these gifts. 
Have safe and wonderful holidays and please encourage the children to keep in touch, we really do love hearing about what they are doing.
