Bretherton Uniform - Ordering and Pre Loved
We have recently moved our uniform supplies to Handprints of Bretherton and the details are attached to this page. A link to the website is https://handprints.info/product-category/bretherton-endowed-ce/
At Bretherton Endowed, we recognise the importance of school uniform as creating a sense of identify and readiness for learning. However, we acknowledge that school uniform can be expensive and children can often grow out of it before it has had a chance to be worn.
This has inspired us to create a Pre-Loved uniform page on our website. We urgently welcome donations of school uniform that your child has grown out of to create our second hand uniform store. The aim is to help everyone – school is supporting families and you have an eco-friendly way of discarding unwanted clothes.
This coupled with our ECO team's desire to reduce the carbon footprint of the clothes that we wear in order to protect the planet and global warming, means that this initiative fits into our vision for a more sustainable future.
We have lots of uniform at the front entrance and we are delighted that families are regularly using it. Thank you for your donations.
We can accept your donations of the uniform listed above via a drop off box in school or via the school office. The more donations, we feel, the more successful this will be. Let's work together to reduce waste and benefit our environment.
If you have any good quality trainers, these will be accepted and will be listed below as and when they are donated.
Information on our uniform is below:
School Uniform
Our school uniform is available from ‘Handprints of Bretherton’. Children are expected to be clean, tidy and appropriately dressed for school. We have a comprehensive selection of pre loved uniform in the school entrance hall donated for all familes. We would like to ask that your child doesn’t bring jewellery into school, with the exception of a watch and stud earrings (which will need to be removed for PE and sports). Hair styles should be sensible with no ‘extreme’ hairstyles or cuts including tram lines or short shaved hair.

Watches must be removed during P.E. lessons. If your child has pierced ears, small studs may be worn but will have to be removed for P.E. lessons and swimming. Children may have games or P.E. on any day during the week and will need a PE kit in school for these activities. Children may wear their own tracksuits for outdoor activities, in fact we encourage an old pair of tracksuit pants to be kept in school.
Some classes have swimming lessons and will need swimming costume/trunks. All children must wear a swimming cap and require a letter if they need to wear goggles. Currently Class 2 go swimming for half a year, over 2 years.
We ask that children wear subtle hair accessories and refrain from using gel or other hair products.
Please ensure that all children’s clothing and footwear, including underclothes is marked with their full name. Children are completely responsible for looking after their own belongings. As your child will need to undress for PE, it is important that he/she is able to dress and undress without help.
You can purchase a school bag or rucksack at the school office. We would ask you to use our bags as we have limited space.
