Arts Council Trip to Banksy at MediaCity

Arts Council spent the day at Salford MediaCity's The Art of Banksy exhibition and what a fantastic day we had! We viewed original artworks by Banksy loaned by private collectors and some early preliminary stencils and sketches. We talked at length about the messages behind the artwork and how powerful a simple image or statement can be. We were even told by staff that they believe the real Banksy paid a visit some weeks ago, anonymously of course!

We are looking forward to leading an assembly soon and organising a Bretherton Banksy somewhere in school.
