Trip to Blackpool Zoo

Today, Class 1 and 2 had the best day at the zoo to link with topics about animals and habitats. It was glorious weather! We saw lots of animals on our way around the zoo including camels, monkeys and tigers, but we really enjoyed the talk about sea lions. They were great at swimming and catching fish, and they even waved to us. We learnt not to throw litter in the sea and how important it is to keep animals safe from harmful waste. We also loved seeing the elephants and learning how the zoo tries to recreate their natural habitats as much as possible through lots of heat and a water spray system.
