Writing speeches in role

Linked to our class novel Windrush Child  Class 4 children have been writing speeches expressing opinion, demonstrating a range of questions and using a range of modal verbs. Mrs Smith was very impressed with the precise vocabulary and techniacla terms the children used to add shades of knowledge and precision. Some children also manipulated language to include dialect.
