Year 6 Design and Technology 3 Course Meal

Year 6 washed, chopped, cooked, served, cleared and washed up a fabulous 3 course meal today.  

They were able to share with our invited guests how they had put together a balanced menu, sourced from local sustainable foods, creatively designed invitatations and menus.  

Whilst preparing and chopping all the ingredients they showcased their newfound knife skills. 

We were very proud of their communication skills as they worked in small teams to provide each course, supporting and helping each other with every task.  

It is fair to say, they were all more than a little impressed with what they had created, with one pupil describing the day as "special - year 6 memories to last".  Many expressed how they would like to cook more so we hope you can put these eager kitchen helpers to work!

An unashamed plug and thankyou to Mrs Rowley for once again supporting our project by providing the locally reared meat from Too Good Farm Shop in Wrghtington, which everyone agreed tasted wonderful.
