Chinese celebrations and food tasting
Date: 2nd Feb 2022 @ 8:13pm
Today we continued our Chinese New Year celebrations. We recognised numbers and wrote them in Chinese, we wrote menus for our Chinese restaurant using our phonics to help us, we used our maths skills and used sand timers to time ourselves rescuing the 'fish' using chopsticks and we painted. We made tigers out of play dough to represent the year of the tiger. We used maths skills when baking and made Chinese lantern cookies.we retold the story of The Great Race in reception pretending to be a character from the story.
The best part of the day was to try a variety of Chinese foods including noodles. Some of us loved it, whereas some not so keen.
A busy learning day!
