School improvement objectives 2022 2023
Our priorities this year are:
Key Issue 1: To monitor the teaching and learning in writing to ensure children are progressing to age related expectations, in line with % ARE in maths and reading. |
Key Issue 2: To further develop a culture and genuine lifelong love of reading and promote reading for pleasure and stimulus for writing through high quality texts. In turn this will support the teaching of vocabulary and develop a thread of stories within our curriculum
Key Issue 3: To develop staff subject knowledge through high quality subject CPD linked to our updated curriculum to move everyone further to expert in the teaching of our curriculum topics, subjects and linking between them.
Key Issue 4: To ensure that pupils with identified special educational needs are accessing and progressing through the whole curriculum alongside their class
Personal Development
Key Issue 1: To underpin our curriculum offer with authentic cultural capital offer to ensure that our pupils are enriched and prepared for lifelong learning
Behaviour and Attitudes
Key Issue 1: To re-establish clear expectations in regard to behaviour and attitudes ensuring that all in school grow and succeed under the principles of kindness and through the restorative approach
Key Issue 2: To further enhance our teaching in Diversity through LCC Equality and Diversity Award |
Leadership and Management
Key Issue 1: To improve the outcomes of all pupils with SEND or who are considered disadvantaged enabling them to flourish through the leadership of send and practice of class teachers |
Christian Distinctiveness
Key Issue 1: To continue to provide excellent Christian education through children’s understanding of our mission statement, core Christian Values and new RE scheme of work.
