Class 2 DT

To help the Iron Man, the children designed a moving trolley for him. First the children used materials to design their moving trolley. The criteria was that it needed to be able to move, use axles, a chassis and wheels, and that the structure was stable. The challenge was for the children to make it move without touching it. 
The children designed some fantastic moving vehicles and then today, have created their designs. We had some good discussions about what was working from their original designs and if anything needed to change in order to make it even better. At the end of the lesson, the children tested their trolleys to see if the wheels could move well. 
Some children had added paper clips to their trolleys knowing from our Science lessons that a magnet would pull them. 
Great ideas shared by all children and all unique and creative in their own right!
