Class 2 Still Life Sketching

Today, Class 2 have been looking at Still Life artwork. We started by examining lots of different still life paintings and discussing what we like or don't like about them, and then discussed what we noticed, like how the artist has used a darker background so the items stand out, or that some colours are brighter while some are duller. 
We then had a go at sketching an apple on our tables using shading skills to make it 3D. We will use these skills to help us when we come to paint in the style of Cezanne.
