Class 4 - WW2 Experience
Date: 10th Nov 2022 @ 8:46pm
This afternoon we visited the Museum of Lancashire for a WW2 experience.
The children took part in a series of activities all delivered by characters from the experience.
Firstly we took part in a code breaking session, where we learned about Bletchley park and Morse code, although having signed the official secrets act we aren't allowed to tell you anymore!
Next we followed orders from the Major who showed us how to build maps in a war room setting and plan for D-Day landings.
Escorted briskly upstairs, we were immediately put to work in the reconnaissance team - reviewing aerial photos for information to protect our troops and citizens.
Finally we returned to spy school to assume new identities and be tested to see if we could maintain them under questioning.
We hope the photos below give you a little flavour of how much we packed into an excellent afternoon.
