World Book Day in Class 2

Today, we celebrated World Book Day! The children all came to school dressed in a character from a book. In the morning, we read, 'The Day the Crayons Quit,' by Oliver Jeffers. We used the iPads and Play-Doh to create an animation of the crayons moving back into their pencil case. The children really enjoyed this. We then wrote letters to Duncan from the story, explaining how he needed to help his crayons so that they would be happier with him. 
In the afternoon, the children from Class 3 came into Class 2 to share their favourite books. It was a lovely time where the children read together and shared their ideas. 
We have had a great day.
